Polinas Plastic Industry and Aesthetic Packaging
Polinas Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is Turkey's first manufacturer of biaxially oriented polypropylene film and was established in 1982 in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone. Production began in 1985 with an annual capacity of 5 thousand tons. Today, with 350 employees on a 174,000 square meter site, it produces 100,000 tons annually. Polinas A.Ş., a leading plastic manufacturer in the aesthetic packaging sector, produces BOPP films, CPP and MOPP films, metallized films, coated films, barrier films, tear tapes, and holographic films, which are used by companies in the packaging industry. These products from Polinas A.Ş. are also exported for use in packaging operations abroad.
Innovative Designs and New Packaging Solutions
Among the new products recently developed and offered for sale by Polinas A.Ş. are special films produced for fresh food packaging. These special fresh food packaging films are sold as antifog films, antibacterial films, breathable films, UV barrier films, and oxo-biodegradable films, offering different functionalities according to their intended use. For example, with antifog films, thanks to improved surface layers, water vapor originating from the fresh food product inside the package is allowed to disperse on the package surface, thus ensuring the product is clearly visible within the package.
