Duas During Tawaf

You can begin your seven circuits of Tawaf by moving to the right, keeping the Kaaba on your left. During the first three circuits, men can expose their right arms and move with quick, short strides. This procedure is called ramal. The remaining four circuits should be performed at a normal walking pace. While performing Tawaf, there are no predetermined prayers, but there are recommended prayers. You can also recite the prayers you make daily during Tawaf. You can pray to Allah in your own language and in your own way. Hateem is a semi-circular section that was initially part of the Kaaba but was not included when the Kaaba was rebuilt. You should include Hateem in your Tawafs. When you reach the fourth corner of the Kaaba, touch it with your right hand or both hands and you can pray while walking between Rukn-i Yamani and the Black Stone. You can continue your prayers by saying, “Bismillah Allahu akbar wa lilah al-hamd.” When you reach the Black Stone, you should perform istilam again to mark the beginning of your second circuit. Continue in the same manner until you complete seven circuits, including istilam at the end of each circuit.
